Send a meaningful card to friends and family, for a birthday, good luck or “just because” you are thinking of them. As this card is blank inside, there is plenty of space for even a short letter! Quirky and unusual, this card features a printed image of my original mosaics on the front.

* MATERIALS:
•~ Printed 300 gsm card, with a good texture inside for writing on
•~ Comes with a gummed white envelope
•~ optional - Clear cellophane sleeve for protection - I am in the process of switching over to biodegradable sleeves

* DESIGN DETAILS: a reproduction from a section of an original handmade mosaic, entitled Southern Birds, which was made for the Constellations Exhibition at Chester Cathedral and was inspired by Johann Bayer's illustration of the Southern Birds constellation in his Uranometria, a star atlas, published in 1603.

The constellation comprises of four bird panels: Tucana (toucan), Grus (crane), Phoenix and Pavo (peacock). The fifth title panel, alongside the whole presentation of the mosaics, references the John Clayton mosaics in Chester Cathedral.

Materials: Reclaimed ceramics, including 1970's Midwinter Caprice and J&G Meakin's Impact cups and saucers, vintage vegetable dishes, Turkish pottery, a teapot, lustre ware, salvaged blue tiles, gold tesserae and Winckelmans tiles,
