Garden Sculpture
Mosaics in a garden are fun! They brighten up a dull corner, create vibrant pops of colour where needed, or add an element of the quirky. I also make small shrines, to be propped in a corner or alcove, usually very shiny!
Many of the pieces I have made have been for my own space, though I also make them for exhibitions or on commission

Paisley Legs
Paisley legs in mosaic, worked on a pair of mannequin legs bought in a local scrapstore. They incorporate fused glass nuggets (made from scrap glass), ordinary and bronze mirror, ceramic pieces from Station Cat Pottery, stained glass scraps and glass tiles.

Garden Shrine Or Altar Mosaic
Featuring a riot of daisy flowers this Garden Shrine has a place for a small candle; the flame would reflect off the blue bottle glass (which has been backed with foil to make it especially shiny).
It could be propped in a corner of a garden to give added interest, or as part of a meditation / yoga corner.

Florasphere
A pair of decorative balls in mosaics, made to sit either side of an entrance or balustrade, like a pair of small orange trees!

Mavis
Mavis is a life-size figure made of recycled materials, including birds in her beer bottle top hair.
I created her body shape in wire and cement, so she is hollow inside.

Snail Totem Pole
Created as a way to use up left-over tile adhesive and ceramic scraps, this totem pole has been created over a few years.
The star was made on an inflatable toy, and is covered with mirror glass.
The Snail structure was made in a class with Tamara Froud, with this purpose in mind.
The ball was made onto a polystyrene ball.
The base was made at a BAMM class with Sheri Warner Hunter.

Thistles
Part of the improvement of the Crieff High Street. The original 4 x 4 square glass tiles in the larger squares were falling apart. I was asked if I could replace them with something, and so proposed the thistles.
